Souder, Miller & Associates Announces Four New Members Join Board of Directors

Four new members have joined the Board of Directors for Souder, Miller & Associates (SMA), which is now comprised of three external and four internal members. This addition expands SMA’s reach, diversity, and insight into providing value to the communities we serve. “We are honored to have these professionals join our board,” stated President and CEO Peter Fant, P.E. “SMA is committed to bridging our commitment to provide successful projects with an active investment into the communities we serve. SMA’s focus includes seeking ways to improve and increase capacity in communities and assisting clients with a broad range of services that all fit together to create positive impacts. Dr. Hensley, Dr. Luarkie, Jamie Claire Kiser, J.D., and David Wilson, P.E., all bring significant contributions to this overarching goal.” Jamie Claire Kiser is presently the Director of Consulting at Zweig Group, a research, publishing, and consulting firm for the AEC industry. She brings experience in financial analysis, evaluating transactions, and creative solutions for the financial needs of architecture, engineering, & environmental firms. Prior to joining Zweig Group, Ms. Kiser worked in commercial banking, managing the bank’s credit department. She holds a Masters of Business Administration, Juris Doctor, and Bachelors of Arts in History, all from the University of Arkansas. Ms. Kiser is a licensed attorney. SMA’s team includes professional engineers, professional surveyors, professional geologists and hydrogeologists, soil scientists, surveyors, certified floodplain managers, environmental professionals, GIS/CAD operators, construction observers and support staff. Seven offices in New Mexico, as well as branch offices in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Utah provide a base for more than 200 employee-owners to improve their communities. SMA was selected as a New Mexico Top Workplace by the Albuquerque Journal for the past four years, and has consistently placed in the top quartile of the Engineering News Record (ENR) awards standings for Southwest Firms.
